with ALYSON RASKIN Ph.D
We practice through the lens of the nervous system and whole self-resiliency by employing trauma-informed embodiment practices from a place of safety and self-regulation. We bring compassion to all parts of us, including our thoughts, sensations, and feelings, as we employ breath, rhythm, movement, yoga poses, meditation, sound, and shaking.
TRE®, developed by Dr. David Bercelli, safely elicits a natural healing reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating in a safe and controlled environment. The TRE® method is currently used to help people of various populations and cultures to treat stress and physical and emotional trauma.
A sister method to TRE®, the Neurogenic Yoga® process incorporates yoga techniques with specific body postures to safely elicit a natural healing reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating in a safe and controlled environment. This is similar to a shaking response one experiences after a traumatic or stressful event. When such as response is elicited in a safe environment, the body and mind can release stress and trauma.
Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy (Certified through the Wellness Institute) addresses the body, mind, and spirit. We work together with your inner guidance, inner child, and subconscious parts, yearning to be heard and healed.
We will incorporate embodied practices from an IFS lens, a non-pathologizing method of increasing Self-energy, and building cohesion among the many "parts" that comprise our internal "family."
