FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Please don't hesitate to reach out to us, if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Our yoga classes are led by a gifted team of certified instructors, each sharing their own unique expertise and heart. Mostly rooted in the traditions of Hatha, Raja, and Vinyasa yoga, our classes blend intentional movement, mindful breath, and moments of meditative stillness.

Many classes weave in ancient yogic techniques—postures (āsana), breathwork (prāṇāyāma), meditation (dhyāna), chanting (mantra), and hand gestures (mudrā)—powerful practices that clear energetic blocks, awaken inner vitality, and deepen your connection to Self.

Whether you’re seeking strength, release, grounding, or spiritual expansion, each class is designed to gently realign body, mind, and spirit—so you can move through life with balance and clarity.

We warmly welcome all levels—especially beginners. Whether it’s your very first class or your first time returning after a long pause, our intention is to help you feel safe, supported, and at ease as you begin your practice.

You don’t need to be flexible, strong, or experienced—yoga is a personal journey, and every body is different. Our teachers offer gentle guidance and variations so you can honor how you feel in each moment. Need to pause, soften, or skip a posture? Absolutely. Your breath is your guide.

We have a NEW STUDENT SPECIAL, 21 days of unlimited yoga for $49. This is the perfect way to try as many classes as possible to see what works best for you and your schedule!

Here's a comprehensive guide to the science of Yogasanas and how you can go deeper into your practice.

We recommend reserving your spot in advance, as space can fill quickly for both classes and services.

All bookings are managed through Momence, our simple and user-friendly scheduling platform. From our website you can browse the schedule, book sessions, and manage your account—or download the Momence app for quick, seamless access on the go.

Do I need to create an account to book?
Yes. Creating a free Momence account allows you to easily manage your bookings, purchases, and communications.

Can I just drop in for a class?
Walk-ins are welcome if space allows, but we recommend pre-registering through Momence to secure your spot.

And if you ever need help with booking, just reach out—we’re always happy to assist!

We offer several gentle and grounding classes that are perfect for beginners or anyone craving a slower, more nourishing pace. These include:

  • Flow + Restore – Sundays at 11:45 AM
  • Gentle Stretch + Flow – Mondays and Fridays at 9:30 AM
  • Slow Flow Restorative – Tuesdays at 6:30 PM
  • Stretch + Strengthen – Wednesdays at 12:00 PM
  • Evening Slow Flow – Thursdays at 6:30 PM

Also, keep an eye out for our Monday night pop-up classes—they’re often Yin, Slow Flow, Gentle, or Restorative and are a beautiful way to ease into your week.

That said, beginners are welcome in any class on our schedule. If certain times work best for you, start there. Just let the teacher know you’re new to yoga—and be sure to mention any injuries, physical limitations, or if you’re pregnant, so they can best support you.

You are free to move at your own pace and rest when needed. You’ll naturally find your flow and begin to build your practice over time.

⟢ Bring a mat – We have mats and props available to borrow or purchase if needed.

⟢ Wear comfortable clothing – Choose breathable, supportive attire that allows you to move freely. Avoid anything too loose (which may bunch up) or too tight (which may restrict movement).

⟢ Practice on an empty stomach – For the most easeful experience, try not to eat 1–2 hours before class. Stay hydrated before and after, but minimize drinking water mid-practice. In Ayurveda, yoga stokes the body’s digestive fire (agni), and water can dampen that energy.

⟢ Leave belongings outside the studio – Shoes, coats, phones, and keys may be stored in the designated area near reception. This helps us maintain a peaceful, clutter-free space. (Saltara is not responsible for lost or stolen items.)

⟢ Communicate with your teacher – If you’re pregnant, healing an injury, navigating a condition, or prefer not to receive hands-on assists, let your teacher know before class. We’re here to support you with thoughtful guidance, posture options, and props.

In the spirit of Saucha (purity) and Mauna (silence), we invite you to help us cultivate a serene, mindful environment—for yourself and for everyone who enters.

✨ Please keep the following in mind when arriving for your class or appointment:

⟢ Arrival Time – Arrive 5–10 minutes early to settle in and gently transition into practice. First-time visitors, please allow a little extra time to check in and complete any intake forms.

⟢ Check-In – Stop by the front desk upon arrival so we know you’re here.

⟢ Class Timing – Out of respect for the experience, please plan to stay for the full class. If you must leave early, let your teacher know in advance and take a brief mini savasana before quietly exiting. We kindly ask that no one leave during final relaxation.

⟢ Cell Phones – Silence your phone and leave it in the reception area. If you need it nearby (for family or emergency reasons), please keep it on silent.

⟢ Mindfulness – You may find others resting or meditating as you enter. Please move quietly, gather your props with care, and honor the sacredness of the space with soft voices and presence.

Thank you for co-creating a peaceful, heart-centered sanctuary at Saltara. Your awareness and intention help make this space a true refuge for all.

We are devoted to maintaining a clean, energetically clear, and hygienic environment so you can fully relax and receive the care you came for.

⟢ Sanitization + Energy Clearing – We use botanical-based cleaners proven to eliminate 99.9% of bacteria and viruses to regularly sanitize all surfaces, props, and common areas. To uplift and purify the energy of the space, we also incorporate incense and essential oils with natural antibacterial and antiviral properties.

⟢ Advanced Air Purification – Each studio and treatment room is equipped with Intellipure® Virus Air Purification Systems, which capture particulates 40x smaller than standard HEPA filters—one of the most effective forms of air filtration available.

⟢ Light Technology – We periodically run the Sterile-Bright™ System, combining ultraviolet and ozone to neutralize 99.99% of bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores—keeping our space both physically and energetically clear.

⟢ Community Care – To keep our community well, we kindly ask that you:

  • Wash your hands and cover your cough or sneeze
  • Stay home and rest if you’re feeling unwell
  • Refrain from attending class or booking services if you’ve been in close contact with anyone experiencing flu-like symptoms

Thank you for your care, respect, and shared commitment to creating a safe and healing sanctuary for all.💛

At Saltara Healing, we understand that life happens—and we also honor the time and energy our practitioners reserve just for you. To help us maintain a respectful and smooth experience for everyone, please review our policies below:

⟢ Yoga Classes

  • Please cancel at least 2 hours before class.
  • Cancellations made with less than 2 hours’ notice will incur a $20 fee (or one class pass deduction).

⟢ Spa Suite Sessions (Infrared Sauna, BioMat, VitalFlow, etc.)

  • Please provide at least 4 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule.
  • Late cancellations will incur a $45 fee.

⟢ Private 1:1 Sessions (Yoga, Massage, Reiki, Acupuncture, etc.)

  • We require 24 hours’ notice for all private sessions.
  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full cost of the service.

✨ When you book with us, that time is reserved exclusively for you. Missed appointments, late cancellations, and no-shows will result in the session being redeemed in full, as our practitioners often prepare in advance, travel from afar, and have waitlisted clients.

⟢ Membership Cancellation Policy

Memberships are a beautiful way to stay consistent with your yoga journey. Here’s how our cancellation policy works:

  • Once your card has been charged for the month, we are unable to offer retroactive cancellations.
  • Memberships cannot be frozen or paused during the initial 3-month commitment.
  • After your first 3 charges, you may cancel with at least 10 days’ notice before your next billing date.
  • If notice is not received, your membership will continue on auto-renew.

To begin the cancellation process, please email us at support@saltarahealing.com.

We appreciate your understanding, and thank you for being a part of our Saltara community.💛

Yes—if your healthcare provider has cleared you for physical activity, you are welcome to join us on the mat throughout your pregnancy. We encourage you to arrive a few minutes early and let your instructor know how far along you are, along with any specific concerns. This allows us to offer the most supportive posture variations and props for a safe, comfortable experience.

During pregnancy, your body produces Relaxin, a hormone that softens joints and ligaments in preparation for birth. While this can create a sense of increased flexibility, it may also make you more prone to overstretching or discomfort. Move gently, listen closely to your body, and never push beyond your edge.

If you’re new to yoga or have limited experience, we recommend seeking out prenatal yoga classes whenever possible (which we can offer one-on-one!). These classes are designed to safely support expectant mothers, strengthen the body, and prepare you for childbirth in a gentle, mindful way.

For those with an established yoga practice, many postures can still be enjoyed with some variations. Here are some helpful guidelines:

  • Explore open twists from the upper body rather than twisting deeply from the waist
  • Avoid poses that place pressure on the belly
  • Soften or skip intense forward folds and backbends
  • Be mindful in balance poses, especially as your center of gravity shifts
  • Avoid lying flat on your back later in pregnancy (this can pressure the vena cava, the largest vein in your body)—opt for resting on your left side with a bolster or cushion for support

As always, your comfort and safety come first. We’re here to hold space for you, and to support your journey with care and compassion every step of the way.
